Al-Mustadi
Abbasid Caliph
Reign 1170 - 1180
Successor An-Nasir
Predecessor Al-Mustanjid
Born 1142
Died 1180
Hassan al-Mustadi bi Amrillah Ibn Yusuf al-Mustanjid (Arabic: المستضئ بأمر الله‎) was born in 1142 and was the thirty-third Abbasid caliph. He ruled between the years 1170 to 1180 and was married to Zumurud Khatun.

It was during his time that Saladin ended the Fatimid caliphate in Egypt. Due to this, Egypt was once again swayed underneath the power of the caliph in Baghdad, to the point where his name became regularly mentioned during the Friday prayer sermons[1].

He died in 1180 and was buried in West Baghdad, in the Kasr Isa Quarter[2]. He was succeeded by his son Ahmed al-Nasir.
